WAS Design was a project design team member on a two-year journey to transform the existing Holiday Inn Atlanta Downtown Centennial Park into an AC Hotel by Marriott. The hotel boasts 255 rooms in the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant and energetic neighborhoods. WAS provided hardscape and landscape design for all of the exterior spaces. The pool and patio space features a renovated pool amenity, contemporary lighting, composite decking, raised concrete pavers on a pedestal system, a cantilevered pergola feature, raised planters with LED strip lighting, and a covered fire pit area. The enclosed zen garden offers a quiet retreat from the city with green wall trellis features, plank stone pavers, synthetic turf, and plantings. This revitalized property is a true destination and will further contribute to the revival of the city’s downtown.
