WAS Design is serving as a sub-consultant under the prime design consultant and architect Van Meter Williams Pollack. The vision for this project “aims to leverage the historical value of the existing building and invest in the activation of the site by offering a progressive learn\work environment.” WAS Design’s primary objective was to design the greenspace that connects the 3.3 acre site of the historic Mississippi Hardware building to the Vicksburg Convention Center across the street along with providing landscape services for all other exterior site improvements. WAS’s Design theme draws inspiration from the ever changing course of the Mississippi River that sits just below the bluff from the historic site.
