WAS Design was tasked with creating the 2.2-mile river trail at Western Riverwalk Park, designed for walking, running, and road biking in a tranquil setting with minimal traffic. Stretching from the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater to the Oliver Dam Playground, the trail offers scenic river views throughout. Visitors can relax on strategically placed benches overlooking the river and feel secure with emergency phones, lighting, and video surveillance. The trail also features a shaded structure, a playground, an amphitheater stage, and open lawn areas perfect for relaxation or gatherings. Smooth, accessible paving ensures the route is suitable for all visitors, making it an ideal space for both active pursuits and leisurely outdoor experiences.
