WAS Design worked as the prime consultant for this covered walkway project at the Pensacola International Airport. As a means to connect the newly constructed Hyatt Place Hotel, also a WAS project, the client asked us to work on this public/private partnership between the airport and the hotelier. We were able to develop an elegant solution to a highly constrained project that included numerous underground obstacles and four different overhead requirements. WAS also provided construction observation services and was very involved throughout the construction of this complex project.
