As tourism development began to rebound on the Alabama gulf coast following the recession, the Cottages at Romar was one of the first communities to re-enter the market.  The owner wanted this small community to have a “30A – small town beach life” feel, and WAS prepared the master plan to achieve this goal.  WAS also led the entitlement process for development approvals, provided designs of the entry feature and pool amenity, and other associated hardscape, planting, irrigation, and lighting for the site.  Additionally, care had to be taken to protect the Alabama Beach Mouse and sea turtles through the planting and lighting specifications.
