Arlington Park

Mobile, AL

WAS worked directly with Moffatt-Nichols Engineers of Baltimore, Maryland to prepare the Master Site Plan, Landscape and Irrigation Design Plans, and Amenities Plan for the Arlington Park. This 40-acre park located on the western shore of Mobile Bay was developed by Alabama State Port Authority as a mitigation effort for loss of wetlands associated with the development of a new port facility. Principal features of the development included Restroom Building, walking trails, kayak launch, multi-use open space, pier, picnic area, picnic pavilions, pervious concrete parking and drives, and a transit stop.
